I just got back from a long walk and went a little bit crazy on Instagram,

 

(I apologize to all my Instagram for the Thelloimlouise mayhem that happened.)

 

because of all the beautiful scenarios around here. Just look at it! This is the London you should discover when you're here. Not just central with Big Ben and all. No, you're supposed to walk the quiet streets where you run into stranger's cats and the greenery embracing the buildings. 

 

This is the London I love.

What's been going on lately

To make up for lost playtime I'm going to show you what has happened in my life recently.

With pictures!

Everybody loves pictures.

A "casual after work" turned into "hanging out at the casino until 6:30 in the morning."

Celebrated James birthday. Ended up at a house party somewhere in Camden. On the way home me and Paola bought THE. BEST. PIZZA. EVER. Therefor the happy faces.

Went back to Sweden to celebrate my beautiful mum's birthday! Slept in my own room, cuddled with my huge dog, painted a picture for my mum and tried on various hats.

Me and Fredrik spent almost entire day in his car with loud music, as usual. Before my flight I stopped in Copenhagen for some tea (yuck!) with Oliver!

Spent too much money on maybe a bit too much alcohol. But only with amazing people. So it's okay.

(Because it's payday in... 35 MINUTES!)

Been enjoying this summer thing going on. Playing basketball and working on my cooked lobster colour in parks all over London.

Realised how BEAUTIFUL my neighbourhood is! Look at it! LOOK AT IT!

HERE IS WHAT'S been going on from my phone's point of view:

Been on the Overground trains more times than ever. Walking back and forth to the station. Everyday. It is getting old.

Went out for drinks with Paola one day after a long day at work. Ended up with far more than we needed and we poured our hearts out over the tables.

Been strolling around hours in the shopping center. I find myself going there even if I'm not working. Found a perfect T-shirt for Georgette. Sent her a picture and two hours later she was in the store buying it!

Walked for 8 miles and went to a diner with Tom. Ate burger and fries - while drinking a milkshake! Haven't done that before but, man, that's a nice combo.

Working hard and long nights into the morning. Walking home to beautiful sunrises.

I've been drinking beer at pubs and in living rooms. And I cannot decide which one I prefer. Might be living room. But only because Ludvig and Erik will play the guitars and harmonica.

I've texted and tweeted with my penpals in the states! Sending pictures to see what's happening on the other side of the world! Truly entertaining!

THE WEATHER WASN'T the best today but hey, what you gonna do? We stayed strong

(And cold.)

when walking from Tower Bridge to  Covent Garden. And we had fun! At one point, we pretended to be a part of some 5th graders from France. The teachers didn't seem to mind us joining the line of kids!

Hidden places in Covent Garden

TODAY I'VE BEEN running around London together with Jens. He is a Swedish/Danish guy who joined work a few weeks ago! And since we both speak the same language we obviously need to hang out. So we decided to take a London tour. Walked around for hours before ending up in Covent Garden. He wanted to show me a café.

So he did.

Amazing little place, that was. The smallest place. Ever. And you had to share booth and narrow tables with other customers - which made the place so great! Pouring up free water for the random person next to you really makes you feel like you just made a new friend.

And before getting there, I found an alley that seemed interesting

(I'm all about those things!)

so we walked in to see where we would end up. And WOWZA!

(It's a word.)

The narrow corridor led us to a yard-of-colour. All of the houses were painted in bright colours. Even the trash cans were painted! We didn't stay for long but I'll be sure to come back. One of the many reasons why I love this city! Take a random detour and you might find Wonderland.

Out and about

EVEN THOUGH IT'S amazingly cold outside, that's where I've been all day. Met up with Emelie and Robert in Soho and we stumbled around for a while. I tried to show them my favourites but I'm pretty sure I missed out on about... 70 percent.

Meeting up with the two again in a few hours. They want beer. So do I. I'm feeling Camden and they Soho. And I suppose it's their call tonight. I can go to Camden with my friends any other day of the week.
